The Parish Centre

The Parish Centre is very conveniently located in the city centre, just off the main shopping thoroughfare of Fishergate, and within walking distance of both Preston Railway Station and Bus Station.

The entrance is opposite the main door to the church, in the courtyard, first gated entrance off Fishergate.

Foot Access

There are three steps with a handrail and a ramp to the entrance door.

Parking

There is very restricted parking in the immediate vicinity. There is some on-street metered parking and the Butler St car park near the railway station.

Toilets

The doors to the toilets are in the entrance foyer, one of which is accessible for wheelchair users.

Facilities

There is a fully equipped kitchen, entered from either the foyer or the small meeting room, with a serving hatch to the main room. Also, there is a servery, which can open onto both the main and smaller room, and has a water boiler, fridge, sink and crockery.

Part of the main room is parquet and suitable for use as a dance floor.

There is a projector screen, projector, lap top and CD player available for use, on request.

Room Hire

All enquiries for room hire can be considered.

On the ground floor are two rooms which can be hired for private events and meetings, religious or secular, by a person or group, of any faith or none, even if they are not affiliated to St. Wilfrid’s. The large room has a capacity of 60 people and the smaller room 20 people.

Tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits are provided in the servery area. You are asked to supply your own milk.

Hire Fees

Standard rate - £15 per hour per room. Other hire rates can be found on the back page of the Parish Information Centre Booklet, above.

If you have a special request please speak with the Parish Administrator, since consideration can always be given to bespoke arrangements.
